Campaign for Microsoft, photographing 43 real people participating in Microsoft’s “On my way” program in 17 countries on 4 continents.
After the agency gave the project the green light, we jumpstarted detailed negotiations with our local liaisons in five countries simultaneously. Outside circumstances dictated a zigzag route around the globe, in and out of different climates and time zones. We divided the production into three month-long trips. Short intervals between trips gave agency and client a chance to sleep in their own beds and reconnect with their families, while our team took the opportunity to coordinate with local contacts for the next leg. In addition to the key participants, we were joined in our travels by numerous representatives from the global and local Microsoft network. Great friendships were formed.
